Tearfil Sterile Lubricant Eye Drops: Each ml contains Glycerin BP 2 mg, Hypromellose USP 3.6mg, Polyethylene glycol 400 BP 10 mg, Tetrahydrozoline HCI USP 0.5 mg and Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate USP 2.5 mg.
Tearfil is a preparation of Glycerin, Hypromellose, Polyethylene glycol 400, Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride & Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate. Glycerin restores moisture to the dry eye. Hypromellose acts as a artificial tear in the treatment of dehydration of the cornea and conjunctiva. Polyethylene glycol 400 increases the stability of tear film. Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride reduces the redness of eye. Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate is used as an astringent agent
Tearfil Sterile Lubricant Eye Drops is indicated
• for temporary relief of discomfort and redness of the eye due to minor eye irritations
• to relieve dryness of the eye
• for the temporary relief of burning and irritation due to exposure to wind or sun
• for protection against further irritation
• Instill 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) up to 4 times daily
• Children under 6 years of age: ask a doctor
Stinging/redness in the eye, widened pupils, or blurred vision may occur
For external use only. Ask your doctor before use if you have narrow angle glaucoma.
Use in Pregnancy: There is no controlled data in human pregnancy.
